He dropped out of the dissertation and received basic technical training for the blind. He got a job at a very large, public bank. He is responsible for designing new software systems. Tools are DL® EasyTask, DL® Contact Manager and DL® Exchange. He has to permanently make appointments with several people and keep them on record.
A blind telephone operator in the switchboard of a large industrial company
The company manufactures and sells axles worldwide. It is so large that it is very difficult to get and keep track of the departments. We use DL® ETB (electronic telephone book). Using a command line, the employee can enter a search query and therefore does not have to fill in several fields for the search. In DL® ETB, he can find people even if he does not know the exact spelling of the names. Our customer is the high performer in this switchboard.
Multiple blind persons working in an association
Tool is DL® association. A total of 15 employees work in the team. The blind employees can do all activities independently. Bank statements are digitized. The sale of blind aids runs via a cash register system suitable for the blind.
A blind department manager

We had to customize quite a few very unusual software systems. SAP was a big one. Synchronization of appointments between Outlook and DL® Contact Manager was critical so she could deal with parallel appointments. DL® EasyTask is instrumental in helping her work competitively.
An employee of a savings bank who was blind
He was deputy manager of a savings bank. He did basic technical training for the blind at BFW Würzburg. He could no longer work in the area of financial consulting because the savings bank software was inaccessible. He now designs seminars for staff training, holds seminars himself and also works as a business mediator.
Two blind employees in a switchboard of a medium-sized savings bank

In DL® ETB, data is maintained that was in many different systems and lists before DL® ETB was introduced. Thus, there is now a so-called single point of administration. Blind employees can not only retrieve data, but also maintain it. The system has been extended to such an extent that the display of Alcatel telephones, which are distributed over many buildings, also comes from DL® ETB.
